Garage, Inc.

A few nice Canon CanoScan images I found:

My first analogue panorama, if this can be called like this, since it is entirely stitched digitally. It is stitched from 4 scanned negatives in Photoshop. I’ve played a bit with fine tuning perspective since Ps Photomerge was partially OK. Plus some dodge and burning here and there.

I really liked this place in day, but in night it was even better, the patchwork on ground, shadows, bricks, and garage doors, really have some interesting effect, at least to me :) And after this 4 rolls of Bergger film, I really do like it!

Mamiya RZ67 Pro II – M 65mm f/4 L-A
Bergger Pancro 400 at ISO 1600
Berspeed (1+1) @ 24°C 13:45, pre-soaked for about 1 min.
Water Stop Bath for about 2min.
Ilford Rapid Fixer for 6 min.
Formulary’s Hypo Clear Agent with 30 sec pre soaking, then 2 min with agent.
5 min rinse then Rollei RWA wetting agent.
Scanned with Canon CanoScan 9000F Mk 1

Darkness Descends

The hazy look onto Island of Cres, Croatia, shot far before night, but deliberately underexposed to get this mystic and dark look.

Unfortunately after development had so many big dots in one straight line on this photo, needed heavy digital modifications. Most probably because I shot this at end of January and finish this roll at end of March, and there was some condensation inside, because all shots taken in March were completely fine and without any big dots on negative.

For first time I was using Spur SD2525, still need more playing around with this one to get final judgement.

Mamiya RZ67 Pro II – Z 110mm F2.8 (0.( GND Soft Filter)
Rollei RPX 25 at ISO 25
Spur SD2525 (1+17) @ 20°C 08:30
Agitation: 30sec at start, then 1 invert each 1 min.
Ilford Ilfostop 1 min.
Ilford Rapid Fixer 4 mins.
Formulary’s Hypo Clear Agent with 30 sec pre soaking, then 2 min with agent.
5 min rinse then Rollei RWA wetting agent.
Scanner: Canon CanoScan 9000F

Some digital adjustments: my usual vignetting, dodge and burning and heavy cloning to remove all the big dots that were on negative.

we’re not the only ones with problems

A spooky sky over The Valley during the Station Fire turns spookier in a puddle. Why was I out walking? No one can really say.

I dunno… should I scan the sprocket holes on this one?

My New Desk

A few nice Canon Scanner images I found:

My New Desk

Got this two weeks ago, and am crazy about it. Matches the Grundig speakers perfectly as well!
Desk is all original from the late 50s. I had to fix some broke joints. It isn’t made well enough for any heavy stuff, so I had to buy a flat panel monitor(It was a good excuse to finally upgrade..haha).

Highfields, Looking over the Valley

Highfields is a region north of Toowoomba which follows the line of the Great Dividing Range. This view is facing East over a valley with the afternoon sun behind.

This exposure was taken with a Meopta Flexaret IIa, on Fujichrome Velvia 50 RVP, then scanned using a Canon Canoscan 8600f and digitally processed.
